Are you saying the program won't even open ?
If that's the case something may have corrupted the desktop shortcut. The default location of the Hoster program is in c:\program files\Micro Technology Unlimited(that's unless you changed something when you downloaded). Go there, right click on the Hoster folder, and click on SEND TO ..DESKTOP (create shortcut) If the new shortcut doesn't open the program, go back to the Hoster folder, double click on it and see if it opens. If this is not the case, and the program is opening, but you are having a problem, we need more specifics. |

Hoster IMPORT isrn't working!
Sorry for the lack of info....Here is the bottom Line:
I turned on my computer this morning to continue importing my karaoke cds to the Hoster program, yet it doesn't show me the karaoke Brand ID's, nor will it allow me to type in a disc ID without shutting down! THanks for your help! |

First thing I would do is shut down and unplug the computer for ten minutes or so.
See if that gets you back to normal. If not then I'd reinstall the program. You shouldn't lose any KMA files you've already imported. Beyond that, move over and I'll get up on that limb with you, 'cause I don't have a clue. |

A bit more info would help even more. Like version of Hoster? XP or Vista?
If George's suggestion doesn't work, uninstall and reinstall Hoster. As George's says you won't lose your song KMA files. The way to uninstall is through the setup program file. You do have it copied to a safe location right?

Take a look at the event viewer in the control panel/administrative tools, check applications and system viewers. If you find something and if you are connected to the internet there will be a link to Microsoft that might tell you whats going on.
It would appear that something in the computer got corrupted on July 3 so I would do a restore to a date previous to that. Sam

There is a way to create a viable restore point. Uninstall and reinstall a product. I used Vogone...took about four minutes.
The uninstall and install restore points are listed. Now if a problem crops up I can simply select the Vogone install restore point and everything will be back as it is currently without having to lose any current programs. There had to be a way. |
