Hoster Manual

I purchased Hoster a couple of days ago and have a problem printing the Manual. The right side of every page is chopped off. Obviously MTU anticipated the problem because the put in a "VERY IMPORTANT" dialog box on how to correct it. I have tried the directions that MTU provided without success.

I have contacted MTU support and received little help at this point. I am continuing my dialog with them.

Anyone out there have a quick fix answer??

Thanks,
Jim Sheltraw

Did you change your printer margins to 0.4 or 0.3 for left and right? If that doesn't fix it, the problem is likely your printer margin can't be set that small.

Follow the directions, or have someone more technical do it for you if it is geek to you, to change the Width="85%" on the topmost Table. This controls the overall width of the text copy for the entire manual. You CAN solve your problem with this. If you don't understand it, get help from someone local. MTU has provided two ways to solve this problem. We can't help any further.

I have the same problem. My printer is capable of printing to the edge, but nothing I do in the settings will allow me to print the entire pages from the web.
Would it be possible to make it available as a pdf download?

Did you try to change the Width="85%"?

We only have the manual in HTML format. There aren't enough complaints on the manual not printing to justify the extra effort to produce and maintain a PDF of all our manuals. If more users see this Thread and post they are having problems, it will get my attention.

Yes I tried that & know HTML & the width change didn't work there either.

hoster manual

Thanks George. I tried the landscape thing also but it wouldn't be practicle for the entire manual. Thanks for your input (and support).

Hoster Manual

It seems strange to me that I have been able to print out the manuals to Microstudio, Keyrite, KHPro and Vogone, as provided when I purchased them, but am advised to get additional help "from someone local" to print the Hoster manual. In my mind it seems logical that the provider (MTU) has done something different, in providing the Hoster manual, so that the customer (me), is not able to print this material and then tells me that they "can't help any further"

My experiences with MTU and their products has been wonderful but this leaves me a bit cold and disappointed.

ADMIN:
Checked it out just to see. Cuts off the right side here also and none of the fixes work. When 85% shrink to fit is used, the page is much smaller on the paper, but still cut off.

For what it's worth, I'm looking at a Hoster versio 1.000 manual I printed out on 7/23/2002 when we first started Hoster, and it is all there. Something has changed.

SHELTRAW:
I wouldn't recommend this for the entire manual, but if you have A couple of specific pages you want to print to refer to while learning the program, you will get the full width if you use LANDSCAPE. Drawback is it will take two pages or so for each portrait page. I just tried it to make sure, and it will work in a pinch.
