Fix Importing Tracks (odd characters)
When importing tracks from the hard drive, I notice that all songs that have a . (period), ' (apostrophe), % (percent sign) in either the song title or artist (name of the file actuallY) gets an error when importing. The error says a matching .cdg is not found, when it actually is there.
I discovered this import error when I converted 3000+ songs and the only ones that got that error were if the file name had those or other characters in them. For example, a file named "Bobby Vinton-Mr. Lonely#@cth1.mp3" or "Brian McComas-99% Sure#sgb0001.mp3" would get those errors. |

Were you converting MP3+G or ZIP files?

This turned out to be a great report, and was perfectly timed with our development schedule.
We took your exact examples and created same-named file sets (.mp3 + .cdg). Brian McComas-99% Sure#sgb0001.mp3 imported "AS IS" without any problems. ![]() ![]() Bobby Vinton-Mr. Lonely#@cth1.mp3 did not import. What we discovered was the "." in Mr. was terminating the Title definition, causing the Title to be "Mr." (no Lonely). This was a bug, and we have fixed it in Hoster 3.314. We currently expect to send out 3.314 Beta 4 today for testing. It is a Final Release Candidate. If our Beta Testers don't find anything wrong, it will release this week. If problems surface, it will depend on what they are and how long it takes to fix. We will release Hoster 3.314 before Microstudio 4.000, so Hoster is on the "front burner" to get it out the door. ![]() |

Glad to be of help. I'm a software developer myself, so can understand the problem of special characters in text imports or conversions. How does one become a beta tester for ya'll?
