Super CDGs

I have a plextor px-716a, and I was wondering if it and hoster would read and convert the super cdg to Kma files on a laptop.

The Plextor 716A is capable of reading the SCDG discs which are Dual Layer DVDs. However Hoster cannot convert/import the songs to KMA files.

You will have to use another program, which there are a couple of them, to convert the SCDG files to individual BIN files which can be imported into Hoster. However currently Hoster has a limitation of 99 song files per DiscID that can be imported. This is far shy of the 1000+ on SCDG discs.

For Hoster 4.0 (release sometime this year) MTU is working on changes to be able to import the massive numbers of songs on the SCDG (still have to be converted to BIN first). This is a change to the 99 file limitation.

You need to go to CAVS site to get the software. I think there are other ones out there but don't know for sure.

Larry CAVS refuses to create a software to extract the songs from the dat files. The program I use is CDGFix.

Do you have any details regarding this program? I have a few SCDG's That I would like to try doing this method of extraction...
