Search window

Is the search window supposed to be shrinkable in both directions. As I can only shrink it (up to a point) vertically.

As far as I know, only one way. That is the way mine works also.

The min size horizontally is the default. You can stretch it left and right but only shrink it back to it's default size. I've asked to be able to shrink it more but was told it's not possible.
