Import CDG from Laptop

On 3.301, when I try to import a track on a CDG while a singer is singing, Hoster doesn't crash or close. It acts like it imports it. I can add to playlist and everything. When I go to play, it just dounds like a the same drum beat over and over. I know the Teac I have might not work with the new software, but when I saw it convert I was really happy for a moment until I went to play it. Oh well, I still have my Plextor.

Good work MTU!!!

When you tried the TEAC, was the USE SOFTWARE DECODING box on the CD/DVD DRIVES DEFAULTS page checked. That needs to be checked for everything EXCEPT the Plextors.

Yes, it was checked. I just don't think it was on thier list to make work. It's a shame because they use the Teac in so many laptops.

There was no "list to make work". It either worked to varying degrees for non-Plextor drives or it didn't. Admin would have loved to make all drives work, but if the drive was not engineered to read cdg subcode the best you can do is the best you can do. Now the programmers are constantly looking for ways to make improvements to all aspects of Hoster so at some point that drive may be made to work - who knows, but in the meantime, rest assured your drive was not shunned. Honest

I didn’t mean to imply they had a list. I meant it figuratively. There are drives that can and can’t decode MMC. Does anyone have a Laptop that the new software made work? I know it made my Sony DVD/CD R/W on my test pc work.
Is there a slim line Laptop DVD/CD R/W drive that does work?

I have not had any luck with Testing any of the Teac Drives. They don't seem to work with the MMC format, that Hoster now uses to make more drives work.

There is a Slimline drive that I have in my laptop that is working. Here is the Model: Pioneer DVR-K05. This drive works pretty good. I have not had any problems with mine.
