Hoster 3.3 songbook difference

When I printed my songbook, by Artist, in 3.120, I was able to add the disk brand/ID and it showed up at the end of the song title. Now, in 3.3, when adding the Disk brand/ID, the information is put on a second line.
I can see now why someone complained that their book is twice as big, because of this second line.
However, it is very important to me to be able to show the different versions by Disk number and give my singers that choice. I have been in this business for 10 years now & most of my singers have now become "professional" karaoke singers. What I mean by that is, many of them have been around as long as I have and know for a fact that if you play the same song recorded by one of the newer companies and were used to singing it from one of the original companies that first came out with karaoke disks (I guess I'm not able to mention names) that went out of business a few years ago - there is a BIG difference!!! And I am referring to the changes in words and sometimes parts of the song even being left out, not counting the quality of the music itself. It is OBVIOUS to anyone who has been doing this since before CDRs were invented.
Until I purchased Hoster, I was using my old song books that I created 5 years ago and then have a second section with the songs added after that. If my singers pick a song from my "new list", most often it is from a fairly new company and they DO complain when it is so far off from the original. So, I take it out and replay that song from my "old collection" of disks & they are then VERY HAPPY.
Singers DO know the difference, no matter how much they've had to drink. Even if they are new to Karaoke. If they have the original song at home or even just sing along to the radio, after hearing a song dozens of times, it is very obvious when you go to Karaoke and the song is VERY DIFFERENT from what you're used to.
So, I WANT TO KNOW IF THERE IS A WAY OF CHANGING THE SONGBOOK TO APPEAR LIKE 3.120, SO THAT I CAN SHOW THE DIFFERENT BRANDS AND NOT HAVE THAT INFORMATION APPEAR ON A SECOND LINE????

I am in total agreement with skybird on the songbook issue. The DiscID needs to be on the same line as it was in the older verion of Hoster. If you add it to your books now they will be twice as long in v3.3

Change your Font Size and that should move everything to one line. Look at your current books compared to a page from the 3.3 book and I am willing to bet that the font size in your current book is smaller.

I am using Microsoft word to process songbooks in Hoster. Changing the font does not move the DiscID to the same line with the song title when books are sorted by artist. In the former version of Hoster (3.120) this was the layout....DiscID was on the the same line with the song title when songbook was sorted by artist. So now in Hoster v3.3 when you select book sort by artist and choose to add the DiscID or any other additional info such as disc manf or track #.......all that info prints on a second line below the song title making your songook twice the length it would be if you choose to not add any additional info

Better to use own songbook

After reading all these formatting troubles with songbook making, I have conferred, as I have all along that using another database designed for mobility and ease of use would be much better. That is why a while back I was asking so many questions on how to import and name songs and relate the Book ID's just to maintain my current system, which is much more manipulative. Does anyone agree with this philosophy, if so, I would like to hear from you. I use KJPRO.
