Verify Importing Of Zip Files

I FOUND THAT WHEN I GO TO PLAY SOME OF MY IMPORTED ZIP FILES THAT THEY DON'T PLAY AND THE STATUS CHANGES TO "ERROR". SINCE I HAVE IMPORTED THOUSANDS OF MY SONGS HOW CAN I FOUND OUT WHICH ONES IMPORTED CORRECTLY.

WHEN YOU IMPORT 500 OR SO AT A TIME YOU HATE TO HAVE TO GO BACK AND CHECK EACH AND EVERY SONG TO SEE IF IT IMPORTED CORRECTELY BUT THAT SEEMS TO BE THE ONLY THING I CAN THING OF AT THIS TIME.

IF THE FILE IS BAD WHEN IMPORTING IT, WHY WOULD HOSTER ADD IT AS IF IT HAD IMPORTED IT CORRECTLY. NOW I AM WORRIED THAT HUNDREDS OF MY SONGS MAY BE BAD AND I WON'T KNOW UNTIL THE SONG IS REQUESTED.

I have not had anyone tell me that this has happened. The only thing that I can think of that would give you the Red Error message in the Playlist is the fact that the file was their when it was added to the Playlist and then it was moved under Windows to another folder.

This is the only reason that I know that would cause this.

Importing Of Zip Files

NO THAT IS NOT THE CASE. MY FILES HAVE NOT BEEN MOVED. IT SEEMS THAT THESE FILES THAT ARE NOT WORKING ARE BAD ZIP FILES FOR SOME REASON OR ANOTHER. THEY WILL NOT PLAY AS MP3 FILES EITHER.

I JUST WISH HOSTER WOULD NOT APPEAR TO IMPORT THEM AND ASSIGN THEM A BOOK ID IF THEY ARE UNABLE TO BE USED.

IS THE LOG FILE THE SONGS THAT WERE SUCCESSFULLY IMPORTED OR UNSUCCESSFULLY IMPORTED? IF IT IS THE LATTER THEN AT LEAST I CAN DELETE THE BAD ONES. THE LOG FILE READS “IMPORTED SONGS” IN THE HEADER SO I ASSUMED THAT THE LOG FILE WAS SUCCESSFUL SONGS. IF THEY ARE BAD FILES THEN MAYBE YOU CAN CHANGE THE NAME OF THE LOG FILE TO READ SOMETHING ELSE IN THE HEADER SO THERE IS NO CONFUSION.

THANKS FOR A GREAT PRODUCT.

Were these files bad before you imported them into Hoster ? Could you play them on other programs before importing them into Hoster ? Why not rip the track from your original cdg disc.
