Songbook Problem

I done a build song database and then when i went to creat my song book the # of entries on the build doesnt match the # of emtries on the songs book when i went to create the song book. The # of entries on my song book was alot less. Why is that.

Re: Songbook Problem

Is it possible that on the CREATE SONG BOOK page, the "PRINT ONLY NEW RELEASES...." block is checked, instead of the "PRINT ENTIRE SONGBOOK...." and you are only viewing new imports when you click "CREATE" and "VIEW SONG BOOK". and not the entire songbook?

Re: Songbook Problem

No thats not the case. I have removed all my kma's, Then I went and started add them back one disc section at a time, & doing a build song database keeping an eye on the number of entries. It would build 16 entries. Then I would create the soung book to make sure it picked up the 16 entries aswell. If it diid i then moved them to a folder "Good KMA Files" well after doing about 469 songs I decided to double check them and put the whole 469 songs back in my song's folder and do a build again. It created 469 entries on the database But when I went to create the song book I got 461 entries. Got Me. I got about 4800 songs that are entered in on the data base but my song book has about 4100. So I'm missing about 700 songs in my song book. I'm woundering if I some how got some of the bookID roots duplicated, and it picks up the first one it sees when doing the book and not the other. If thats the case is there a way to fix it. I really dont want to start over. It took me forever to get all these copied. I beleive thats what happened because I have been transfering them out of my desk top pc to the laptop every so often. Then it ends up starting over on the BookID Root. Let Me Check. Yea that is what happened so is there a way to easily fix this.

Just about guaranteed that you duplicated BookIDs. Without VERY careful bookeeping, you'll get messed up every time. Importing on the same system where the Songs Database is stored is what you should be doing. That database holds all your BookIDs and gives the Next button its next BookID. In Hoster 3.100 you will be able to get a .txt file of the duplicate BookIDs that you will need to reimport. There is no other way to correct this. Best thing is to import on your main Hoster system and stay out of trouble.

For now, import everything on your show computer where the Songs Database is. That way you can keep importing and not duplicate any BookIDs. Then when you get Hoster 3.100 (it will be a free upgrade for 3.00x users), you can find the duplicates and reimport them.
