Vocal Cancel
Love The New Look and fetures in Hoster 3.0, But I Wish When you select
left or right vocal it would stay there as it does on a cd+g player so i dont have to keep going back to it for every song. I always use Left mono for karaoke. Keep up the great work, and Merry Christmas To All. Bob ![]() ![]() |

Re: Vocal Cancel
I gotta vote against retaining this setting. I really doubt that most KJs run consistently on a single channel, and odds are that a very low percentage of their songs are multiplexed. I would much rather see it selected on a song-by-song basis, with the default being all channels, since that's what your songs will be 99% of the time.

Re: Vocal Cancel
Karaoke Should Always Be Played On Left Chan Mono, Never In Stereo. As Recomended By Pioneer, Sony, And Many Others. Left Chan Mono Does Not Mean You Only Get Music From One Speaker. But You Do Get Same Quality Sound From Both. Bob

![]() I would prefer to leave the vocal control default in the stereo mode, with a manual overide for multiplex. Most of my music, approx 95% of my cdg's, is performed in the stereo mode. I only switch to mono mode when a disc is multiplexed. I tend to purchase more stereo music than multiplex.

Re: Vocal Cancel
these guys are definitely right about the bridged mono configuration...always the best for karaoke. As for Hoster, it will let you choose how to import these tracks so you don't have to change settings back and forth. Please DON'T change this function.

Re: Vocal Cancel
I use a Bose speaker system which handles combining the left and right channels, so I prefer to use the stereo output from my mixer and let the equipment combine things appropriately.

Multiplex problem
I have been importing tracks using the very latest version and I have yet to find a place to select multiplex and which channel the vocals are in.
I do see it in the edit songs screen, but not the import screen. I have edited all my multiplex tracks in the edit screen. I can see the changes in the table (showing multiplex 'yes' and vocals on 'right'). However, when these tracks are added to the play list, the settings are not automatically set so the vocals are eliminated. I have to manually click the button (hopefully before the song (singing) begins. Is there a way to set this per song so I can relax a little between tracks? Admin. Will this be fixed in Hoster Version 3.1? I have just imported 1234 multiplex songs from bin files. I had the same problem as seen above. I changed all the settings in the edit songs menu but when added to a play list they do not change to right vocal. I have seen the workaround for it but I would like to see it fixed. Thanks gpayne |
