Help!!!!

I had to cancel a show for the first time last night. My hard drive died. I bought another computer this AM and can not load Hoster on it. I used the same #'s I used to install this upgrade version on the old computer. I thought we were now able to install on a backup system? Any suggestion? Oh, yeah! I used the original email address also. When I get the other one fixed you can bet I'll have a backup system.

Re: Help!!!!

When you say you can't get hoster to load - How far do you get before it stops loading? And what is the message you get when it stops?

If I'm not mistaken you need the original registration code, the upgrade code and the email, all of which is case sensitive.

I hope your KMA's weren't on that drive/hope you had a backup!

Sam

Re: Help!!!!

Thanks guys for responding. I'm doing the authorization from a home computer using a floppy. I'm confident that the #'s are right. The message just says that authorization failed for one of the obvious reasons. Original # wrong- Update # wrong- or Email wrong.

Yes I did save the KMA files on an external hard drive, as well as all my MTU software. But the only thing I anticipate being able to use in this situation is the KMA files. Unless there's something in doing that, I'm not aware of.

I can only hope that MTU responds quickly. So that I don't have to cancel another show. All the Karaoke "flunky show" vultures around here will just love this.

I can understand the need to protect their product, but it sure makes it hard for loyal, long time, by the book customers. You can bet that I will have a second system ready to go on a moments notice, in case this happens again. They'll just have to trust that I'm not doing a second show with it.
