Anyone using an External USB enclosure?

I need to convert my internal plexWriter 52/24/52A to an external by using a External USB enclosure but I'm not to fimilar with what enclosure would support this burner. Does anyone currently use or have used an External USB enclosure? If so, what would you recommend I use. Thanks, Bob

P.S. Just installed hoster on my laptop can't wait to get started!!!!

Re: Anyone using an External USB enclosure?

Bob,

I was going to do the same thing, but I decided to but a new Plextor Premium instead. The point to all of this is while I was looking at enclosures I saw a (if I remember right) western digital enclosure that would take a CD drive at Circuit City, for a good price. You might want to try there for one.

Best,

Roger

I'm using a "Bytecc" enclosure for the very same drive and have had no problems so far.

Re: Anyone using an External USB enclosure?

go look at caloptic.com they have a good selection of enclosures that work great aI've been using them for a couple years now. I know MTU sells combinations but I'm not sure if they sell the enclosure separately.
