Need Help Getting Started

I'm a newbie. Just purchased the Hoster 2.213 version software and downloaded it into my Dell laptop. Purchased a Plextor 708UF drive for it and installed it also. Read the instructions on how to put my CD-G's onto the hard drive. That's where I'm having trouble. I put the cdg into the Plextor drive, Turn on Hoster, put in the brand and disc info, and then click "Read CD tracks" and nothing happens. What am I doing wrong? I know it's probably something simple so I thought I'd check here first. Please help. I've got a Dell Inspiron 5150 with an 80GB hard drive if that helps any.

Open Hoster, click on the Import Tracks tab, put your cdg into your drive, select your disc brand, select your disc ID#, click on Read Tracks button (this should then show the tracks in your drive), enter or edit the song names and artist names, select your Book ID#, check the tracks you wish to import (do this by clicking your mouse in the little squares at the left of your song names, or if you want all the tracks imported then you can click the Select All button), then click on Import Selected Tracks. You should then be importing the tracks you selected.

make sure hoster is reconizing your plextor drive

Click the Tools menu Detect Drives... command and post back here what you see.

Did you buy the Plextor from MTU?

Click the Tools Menu, Default CD/DVD Drives. Make sure that your Plextor drive is selected and showing here.

Also, make sure that your USB Plextor is plugged in to the computer, before you open Hoster.

Thanks everyone. I printed out all of the suggestions, did each one of them, and it started working. Can't wait to attempt a show using it.
