Songs Folder Limitations?? Technical question...

I was wondering what is the recommended way of storing my files in the songs folder. It there a limit to how many files I should have in the songs folder? Should I import to multiple folders at any point? Is that even possible or necessary?

I used to do tech support on AVID, a MAC based video editing application. I remember it would start having problems if there was more than 1,200 files in any of the folders where it kept the media.

I'm a tech on MAC, and not even close on a PC!!

just thinking ahead and would love to hear how those of you who are already successful are set up, or if MTU techs want to lend me their expert knowledge!!

I am not a tech, but I have 11,500 songs in my songs folder. I have been running shows for about a year with Hoster and not had a proplem yet.

I got over 20,000 in a directory. (be sure to make a backup it's a pain when you have to reload)

This is a good question, and one I had wondered about as well. Are there any plans to make hoster where it can operate from two folders perhaps on two different hard drives?
