Got the Upgrade E-Mail -- Thanks!

BUT;

Running new 2500 AMD -- W/2 CDRW's -- 16 x Yamaha (won't read graphics during 'rip', but will write graphics flawlessly --- and Plextor 12X -- Worked perfectly! with my 750 mhz system --

Running WinXP Pro (both 2500 and 750) Same Graphics Card, Hard Drive -- only hardware change was Motherboard/processor/Memory/Case

Currently -- the Yamaha is seen and read by Microstudio 2.4 perfectly (except for the ripping issue -- and that's Yamaha's firmware problem) - The Plextor is 'seen' but won't read anything in Microstudio -- Both are working in Windows.

I'm confused

Any Ideas?

Update --

Tried pulling the IDE Cable from the Yamaha leaving just the Plextor 'alive' -- MTU sees the Plextor -- but won't read anything.

Again -- Windows sees both and reacts normally w/both (Also OTSDJ handles both normally)

Need some help!

12X Plextor w/Asus Motherboard w/Barton 2500 Processor

Thanks

Try switching over to using the Adaptec ASPI Driver as stated in this post: http://forum.mtu.com/showthread.php?threadid=493 It is solution #2. Do this and make sure to make the change at the bottom to Use the Default Drivers, or it will make no difference.

Thanks for the reply -- Tried it -- Now Microstudio doesn't see any drives --

the ASPIChk does indicate what the thread said it should after the update.

I rebooted computer / opened/closed Microstudio etc.

Any other directions to try?

Thanks!

Try going to ASUS' website and update to the very latest drivers for your motheboard and see what happens.

Also, someone else was having a similar problem with the Plextor 12x, and it seemed that they had Musicmatch's latest version installed, which caused this problem. Try uninstalling that if you have it and then reinstall the ASPI drivers.

I am at a loss as th why yours won't work anymore, that makes no sense.
