Re: Afraid To Upgrade Video Hoster

I can't understand why you see this message if you are just upgrading

The problem you are seeing is normally seen when you try to install on a different computer without un-installing (While connected to the internet)prior to trying to upgrade. No good uninstalling after the event.

Do you have multiple licences ?
If so do you get the licence registration details mixed up ?

Once you get locked out the only way to get your registration re-set is via the help ticket support http://www.mtu.com/support/customer-...htm#HelpTicket

When you try to upgrade what procedure do you follow ?
After starting the install wizard on the first screen do you make sure to select the upgrade radio button ?
Not the remove button unless you are planning to put it on another computer.
When you get to the 3rd screen Accept the terms
The 4th screen has 2 tick boxes, ignore both these boxes.
If you tick any of the boxes on this page let us know as I don't know if there could be a conflict after selecting either of these as I never need to tick them.
The 5th page Reg email & registration code should show your details already entered, do you alter anything already displayed on this screen ?
You should not alter anything if you are just upgrading.
The next page is just a confirmation page after selecting next the details should send to mtu and you should receive a thank you message. Do you follow as I described above or do you alter anything let us know.

Re: Afraid To Upgrade Video Hoster

This is an ongoing problem for me.Everytime I upgrade, this is always happening.Fyi, This is what i did..I bought the upgrade, login to my account and downloaded the upgrade. In my info stated my registration no and email address which is the new one. So, i upgrade, when it comes to the registration, i didn't change anything but i change the email from an email that i saw in my purchase. and when submitting, it give me the message..Then i try again, inputting the il address and still the message..So, i stop and try not to do it again. This problem not only happen to me but to some of my friends and this is documented..now, if i cannot upgrade, i'll just stick with the old version and cancel my purchase if still nothing happen within this week. Note: I just upgrade to keep up with the latest features but i don't have to...

Bendrew,
I am not sure why you would be having this issue as Roy stated, but I just fixed it so you can reinstall the software now.

Re: Afraid To Upgrade Video Hoster

I think that the changing the email address is where your problem is.
The email that is already displayed on the 5th page when you tried to upgrade is the one you used when you registered the copy your upgrading. That email address is tied to that registration code for every upgrade you do from the original.
When you look in your account that same email address should show against that registration # of your product.

The email you see from the view and change my account information dialog may be different from the one you used when you first registered your product, that is your current email address for MTU to contact you and not necessarily the one you had when you first registered your version of Hoster.
