Problem with grahpics in KHP 3.100

I downloaded the new version of KHP ( 3.100 ) when it was released but have not had time untill now to "play" with it.
The problem is.... when I import a graphic into the Title page
after making sure it is the correct size and the colours are correct
etc etc.. the graphic appears with row's of dashes (or Hyphens)
thus - - - - - - - across the whole page left to right and always 15 rows (top to bottom) breaking the graphic up
(It's very difficult to explain in writing) They appear on opening,
transition in, and on transition out the graphic fades first then the Hyphens?? (I hope this is making sense) I have tried different
graphic types bitmap, jpeg, giff etc and the same thing happens
It happens if I just use text in the title, (no graphic) but in this case the text is always cut in half by the Hyphens
I have read through the forums and as far as I can tell no one seems to have had this problem, so I think it must be something "familial" to me (or at least my system) I have tried uninstalling then reinstalling.. problem still exists.. thought I might have hit a glitch on downloading..so downloaded a second time..(after removing the first download from the computer altogether so there would be no conflict with the new one)..problem still there?.
I then uninstalled the second download, and installed the older version of KHP (3.010) and everything worked fine, no Hyphens to be seen..The fact that version 3.010 works.. but version 3.100
does'nt puzzles me (apart from this everything else in 3.100
works brilliantly) I am quite happy using the older version as when I do need a graphic (I only use the one.. not very adventurous.. but it does the job for us) I use a bmp anyway
My main concern is that if I am having a problem with this upgrade any future ones may not work. I think the fact that the older version works (and very well too) proves that the settings on my comp are O/K although it is fair to say that, it is by todays standards a bit of a relic at 4 years old but the only programms I run on this particular machine (apart from an Internet connection) are MTUs Microstudio KHP and Keyrite.. Any ideas Guys???

Best Wishes from Yorkshire Steve

Does this happen when you select graphic display other than "TILED" It happens with tiled sometimes when I do it and the bitmap has any remains of a horizontal border, frame, etc left in it.

Thanks for your reply...wonder if you could elaborate on what you mean by "TILED" ... Can't seem to find any mention of it anywhere
Many Thanks

When you click "Change Settings" you are taken to the set up you wish for the Title, Lyrics, and Credits displays. In the upper right hand area are the Graphics controls,. There's a tab marked "Graphic Display". Click on the little arrow at the right of the block. This pulls down the options on how you want the graphics displayed: Top,Center,Botom, and TILED. You click on the option you desire. Clicking on "Preview" lets you see it without having to run the program, in case you don't like the color combinations, or whatever.

This may not be the answer to your problem, but it is a possibility. I've experienced a line whenever a bitmap has had part of a frame, border , whatver left in it , and Ive used "Tiled". You'll discover that if you have a real small image, Tiled repeats it as many times as possible in the screen. Kinda neat with something like random fireworks, and things of that sort.

Hope this helps.

Sometimes you can't see the wood for the tree's!!!

I have tried all the different graphic displays i.e top, centre,
bottom, tiled, and stretched, and I always get "Hyphens"across
the page!!!... I instaled version 3.100 onto another computer
with a better graphic card (the one I was using before was an
onboard ATI Rage Turbo Pro but it only has 8mb of memory
which is the bare minimum required to run KHP) and it worked fine... (no bloody Hyphens to be seen.) I will now be transferring
all my MTU programmes onto this machine ... Funny that every version of KHP I have had, has worked on the older machine though??
Wonder if the latest version needs more than an 8mb graphic
set-up (did I just use a Hyphen then!!!!!) Anyway It's sorted now
Thanks for your time and advice

Best Wishes from Yorkshire... Steve
