Hoster Crashed - Would not reopen
I was at a gig and I was adding a new song to the DB when hoster crashed. When I tried to open hoster back up I just got a message saying hoster was not responding and to please close. This happened everytime I tried to open hoster or previous version of hoster. I am running 5.07 on Windows 7 machine. I have songs stored on external harddrive with 59 GB free and the C drive has 375 GB free.
Before unstalling I even tried to restore my computer to a previous day and once complete clicked on hoster and got the exact same hoster has quit message. I ended up uninstalling hoster and reinstalling and now I am trying to add my songs back but no songs are being added when it scans the folders. HELP! |

Re: Hoster Crashed - Would not reopen
When you open Tools/Songs database/Build Database , in the bottom left window below the Add Folder button, do you see any folders listed ?
If not can you use the Add Folder or Add Folder/sub folders button to brows to the folders on your external hard drive if that is where your song files are ? If you see the folders listed what happens if you select one, do you see a list of the song files appear in the right hand window ? Does the drive letter in the file path match your external hard drive path make sure the drive letter hasn't changed. If you do see the files listed and the drive letters are correct try pressing the Rebuild database button. If that doesn't help close Hoster first then open your C/MTU/Hoster folder, find the songs.mdb database file and delete it. Now make sure your external hard drive is connected first before restarting Hoster, don't panic because Hoster doesn't open right away it should build a new database. You should see a small dialog state building database and it should take some time if it flashes by quickly and no different let us know If you still need help let us know the type of files you had imported Kma or KMH and that you can see either types listed using windows explorer.
