Need Help ASAP
I brought up my laptop from basement to get updates. When I took it back down and hooked it back up I can't get Hoster to come up on the TV. When I open Hoster, only the left screen opens. The right screen does not open at all.
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, Ernie |

Re: Need Help ASAP
First of goto Tools/options and tick box reset display.
This should bring back the display to it's default position. If then when you double click it it just fills your laptop screen check the extended monitor is showing as attached from the screen properties. This is a bit different to get to depending which operating system you have, with XP right click blank area of desktop and select properties in the next dialog select the Settings tab right click the second monitor and set "Attach" if it keeps unselecting check your connecting cables. Windows 7 right click blank area of desktop select Screen resolution, you should see 2 monitors if so in the bottom drop down select extend these displays. again if you are not seeing 2 monitors then your cable connection is probably at fault. If you are using a converter box from your VGA out make sure you have the USB power cable plugged in to the computer as well as the VGA.

Re: Need Help ASAP
Roy,
Thanks for the help. I did what you said and the screen opened. When I took it down to the basement to hook it up to the system it would not transfer to the TV. I then double clicked that screen and it went away, but it appeared on the TV. I'm not sure if the screen is suppose to disappear once it goes to the TV, but at least it works. Thank You Sir, Ernie |

Re: Need Help ASAP
If you use the double click method, that sets it to full screen mode, if you move your mouse pointer over to the TV screen and double click that it will probably appear back on your desk top screen.
The other way is while it is showing on your desktop, with the mouse pointer on the screen hold the left button down then drag across to your TV then size it there by dragging corners. Still at least you know next time ![]() ![]()
