uninstall previous version before installing hoster 4.21?

I replaced my computer and promptly redownloaded the version of Hoster I had purchased. I later elected to purchase the new version and have yet to install it. Should I uninstall Hoster 3.19 before installing Hoster 4.21 or does it matter?

No, just use the upgrade option.
Better than that if it is less than 12 months since you ordered 4.21 go to the upgrade page and download the latest version 4.22 and upgrade that instead.

okaay...I went to upgrade page and saved to my desktop a document titled "hoster422setup". I ran said document and entered the proper reg code, finished the installation and rebooted the computer. Now when I click on the Hoster icon the computer thinks for a few seconds....and then nothing happens...no pop up screen, no further prompts. Ideas?

Did you use the "Upgrade" or the "Remove"?
Did you reboot the computer after installing?

i used upgrade not remove and rebooted the computer.

What version of windows are you running ?
Have you done all the Custom updates ?

It may have been a faulty download, redownload it and install again.

I take it 3.19 was working correct before you downloaded the new version ?

I am running windows 7 version 6.1. I pasted the URL given on the upgrade prompt page and went to the website where I found a bunch of warnings about windows vista and as far as I know my updates are current. It may be that I should run an update before attempting a reinstall. Regarding a reinstall, should I just return to the mtu.com upgrade page as per your original suggestion and repeat the process? Also I received CD ROM in the mail, would it be better to use that? Also, the previous version opened as expected before upgrade attempt. thx
