Cross Fade

I was wondering if the cross fade feature was totally abandoned. I really like using the Hoster playlist to play my Audio music, and now I have a songbook with just Audio music this is great.

To have crossfade would make this so much better. I was expecting it to be a part of 4.0 and lately I have heard nothing so please let me know if it's still in the works

Thanks, Stu

Re: Cross Fade

I am surprised there has not been an answer to this question, Most issues are addressed so quickly in this forum

We are already underway on 4.10 with crossfade, which is why we can't do 4.09, 4.10, 4.11... 4.12 (This was a statement made in June of 2009).

Every upgrade since then including 4.10 and the future 4.20 to add the rest of the feature items asked for and granted have been and are still free upgrades. (This statement was also stated in 2009). I have since paid for additional upgrades (because of the 1 year thingy), on 2 of my 3 reg codes so they certainly are not FREE UPGRADES

I don't mind paying the upgrade cost (I know there were many problems and MTU has to make there money) but I don't think there should be features promised when you're not sure you can deliver on them.

The three major features that I was looking forward to when I Purchased the 4.x upgrade was Cross Fade (Not available), Fade out (Available but after I paid the additional upgrade fee) and Record Singers (Which appears may not be available at all).

It is my fault that I paid for an upgrade on promises (live and learn)

My question again is Cross Fade still in the works and will it be available before another year goes by (requiring yet another upgrade fee).

The Cross Fade issue may be a thorn in your flesh and something you want to abandon, if so I apologize for bringing up a sore subject.

Thanks, Stu

Re: Cross Fade

Just my opinion, but with the BA you do have an automatic crossfade between the playlist and the BA. Yes the BA needs more work to make it function better within Hoster and be easier to use, but it does work for most people.

Re: Cross Fade

I think it works well to go between BA and playlist if you're cutting the BA song short, and that song is fading out beautifully but the playlist song is not really fading in (I think that is great for background audio and what it is designed for). But if you let the BA song play out and then hit play on your playlist you do not get a fade in or out.

I am using Hoster to play audio songs before and after my show now, it's not bad but noticeable that there is a pause of 1 to 7 seconds between songs, I use to use I Tunes which crossfades great. Hoster playlist is so much better to work with than playlists on ITunes. Crossfade would just make Hoster that much better at least in my opinion.

I believe that it has to be a hassle for MTU to try to prioritize each feature. Background Audio is a great idea, but I started using it and it just confuses my singers and had to abandon it, (Hey that's not the song I wanted to sing!!!!). My point here is not all features are important to all KJ's.

I hope Cross Fade is still in the works but I will survive if it is not.

Thanks, Stu I Love Hoster.

r.
Have you tried the settings in Tools/Audio Controls/. You can set the fade in and out of the playlist there. Play with these controls to get something like what you want.

Roy.

Re: Cross Fade

When I change the Fade In and Fade Out numbers in Audio Controls it doesn't change anything. I get the same exact results no matter what the number is. When I change Auto Play Delay that definitely makes a difference I have that set to 0.

Is there another setting somewhere to make the fade in fade out work, or am I just doing something wrong?

Thanks, Stu
