.cdg files?????

I got some new music for my show and it has came to me in the way of .cdg files. I had Hoster 4.09d and it had an option of importing the .cdg files. I tried a few of them and all the was imported was like 9 seconds of moden sounds. So I bought the update to Hoster 4.21 and now there is not even an option of the .cdg files.
Any help on this matter would be most appreciated.
Carl

Re: .cdg files?????

THe only thing that uses a .cdg file is if there is either an MP3, WMA, or WAV file with it of the same name.
The only other possibility would be it was an import through an older version of Microstudio.
How big are the files?
If they are small in size then they need the accompanying music file. If they are very large (25 - 40 MB) then they are the older version Microstudio import.

Re: .cdg files?????

Thank you Dale. I will check on both the file sizes and the microstudio version that I have. I sure hope that I will be able to use the new songs I have with my Hoster program. I would hate to have to not use the program I have became accustomed to using over the past 18 months and start using S** n D****.
I'm off to my day job right now and will check out the items when I get off in 10 or 12 hours.. :-)

Re: .cdg files?????

they could be backed up cdg disks imported through goldenhawk to a drive. its no different than importing a cdg disk.

Re: .cdg files?????

How about we wait and see what his answers to my questions are before we speculate on what it is or isn't?
Musicman I am not saying you are right or wrong, but I want to try and determine what exactly we are looking at before trying to steer him in the right direction. If you will notice I also edited out the competition name from his as well as removing yours.
