Jim and MPEG4

I just now read that Jim passed away...I am so sorry for this misfortune for everyone that knew him...He had helped me out me out many times...once again I am sorry.

I know hoster plays mpeg videos but does it support mpeg 4?

Re: Jim and MPEG4

Yes it does. At least I know that 4.11 does and version 4.20 will too. You do have to have the codec for MP4 installed though for it to work.

Re: Jim and MPEG4

Search for K-Lite codec pack. This will get you downloads of the best pack with all kinds of codecs. If I remember right you have to uninstall and existing packs already installed before you install the newest one. I suggest using the Full pack instead of the standard to get the most codecs.

Re: Jim and MPEG4

When I load a CD on my laptop it loads it as MPEG4. Windows Media Player and Itunes plays it well, but I can't get it to recognize it for Audio or Backgroung Audio. Is there something I'm doing wrong I downloaded the codecs mentioned above I may have done something wrong there.
I'm not sure this thread is talking about video only??

MP4 is a video format and not an audio format. The format for audio is MP3. If the disk you loaded is MP4 then they are video format.
