Hoster graphis displays black boxes instead of words

Hello all, I recently had to replace my video card since it died. Now when I play a song a can hear the music but the words are black out. I have upgraded to the most current version of dirvers, and software for vista and hoster. graphics card is nvidia geforce 8600 gt with the newest drivers, any ideas on what the problem is.

Thanks

Jim

Do you have color if you play a video in Windows media Player ?

Have you checked your settings in the Gforce display settings?

To do this click on blank area of screen, select personalize/Display settings then the gForce Tab then start nvidea control panel. Check all these settings and make sure nothing is turned down too low.

Roy.

Look on their web site (Nvidia) for different drivers (older). It has been reported that the latest drivers for those do not work right with Hoster.

Thanks Roy, I spent 3hours going through setting changes before I posted here.

DDouglass, I give that a try. just don't quite understand why Hoster is the ONLY program I am having a problem with.

Try different screen resolutions (1024x768 is our design resolution), and different bit resolutions (16-bit vs 32-bit).

Nvidia has always been the red-haired stepchild of the video industry. We wish they would iron out their problems. We've rewritten our CDG rendering codes to work with as many video cards as possible... not much more we can do.

I have a nvidia 8600 gt with 512 vid ram and the latest nVidia drivers 195.62_notebook_winxp_32bit_international_whql.exe installed on my system with xpro os, 4 gig mem.

I'm running Hoster 4.6 and can tell you that I don't have them issues at all.

I use my system from wednesday to sunday, sometimes two shows a night.

Hope there is a solution to your issue.
