tried that it makes no difference, when you click on the search bar it appears to open in the bottem bar, then if you click maximise nothing happens, if however you click on resize the pointer jumps to the left side of the screen with a resize cross but it does nothing else,, i have uninstalled using 4.09d and then reinstalled, i wonder if i have to totally uninstall using add remove programs to clear the whole software and start from new, ??

Hugh,
First right click on the task bar that has the Start button on it and select properties. Then tick the auto hide box. If this makes the top of the search window visable, move it up so you can see as much of as you want to see then turn the auto hide back off. If that Doesn't help, try changing the resolution on your computer monitor to it's highest setting. This should make eveything visable and give you the ability to set you windows where you want them. Once they are set to your liking, set it back to the resolution you run Hoster at and see if you can always see what you want to see. You may have your search window set where the top of the window is below your task bar. I hope this helps. Jim ![]()

If you reinstall, tick the box that appears in one of the install windows to clear existing settings. You won't lose any data but you will have to reset all the options.

Dennis has the right idea. The locations are saved in your registry. By re-installing and checking the box on the personal information page to clear the registry settings will reset everything to the default location. And yes you will have to set everything back up such as any Instabuttons you use.

I wonder why this didn't work for him??

Because the settings for the search and singers database are not part of that reset.

You are correct. I could have sworn that it would reset everything.
I did try re-installing (no need to remove first), using the checkbox to clear the registry and it did reset everything back to factory default. The trouble of course with that method is that if you loose the database search at a gig and you don't know any other method to restore it you might be hurtin' for lack of an internet connection.
