KMA Files Not Showing In Search
Got a new external drive and copied all KMA files onto it. It was fine until upgrade to 4.9d. KMA files I know are on the drive cannot be found during a serch. I have rebuilt the database with the same results. Any suggestions? 4.6 was also reading all files.
Thanks for any advice. HP Pavillion Vista 32 bit

First question is what search parameters (Brand, Title, Artist, etc.) do you have on (Green color)? And what are you searching for that the files are not showing?
Second is did you have any errors when you rebuilt the database?

Thanks for the Response
Thanks for your response-I really think it is my desktop-it is behaving wierdly with IE as well. It was late last evening when I coundn't get the program to search properly and it was just after I did the update to 4.9.d. This morning I ran the update on my laptop and found the database is working properly on my laptop (thank Goodness for that).
This situation is strange though. I have all search options "greened" and only duplicate file notification after the rebuild. Ex 90330 is on the hard drive but will not show on either the edit menu or the search menu. I used the mbdview.exe I found referenced on the forum and it also shows the KMA file in the songs.mbd file. I'm not going to worry about it at this time-I've been using Hoster since 11/2004 so I really think it's an internal situation at my end, especially if there have been no other issues of this nature with other users. Thanks again.

open 3.4 and see if it will search OK (they both use the same songs.mdb)

Does that include Mux and Duet? If so, you will not find any matches unless they are marked the same in the KMA header. You should only have title, artist, and bookid "greened"
