Status = 2

I have searched for previous on this but couldn't find an answer. I have 2 songs by the same title. One says that it "was not found on the hard drive." That is because I removed it from kma files on the hard drive because it had problems but it still shows up in a search. When I go to tools, edit database and bring it up, click on it and hit delete, it says "unable to delete, status =2." At the bottom of that page next to the delete button, it says, "songs in playilist cannot be deleted." I deleted it from a playlist earlier and restarted Hoster but same story. I have 4.06 and XP.

I would appreciate any help.

Hey Steve,
Try rebuilding your database.

Jim, that worked fine, thanks. Is that obviously posted somewhere and I missed it?

I haven't been here in a while, good to see you still here and helping everyone. Should I upgrade to 4.08 from 4.06 (w/XP)?

Thanks Steve,
Believe it or not 4.07 which was a bad release, (the first time in 40 years for the MTU bunch ) is the release that had all of the fixes and upgrades not 4.08, 43 total. Go here:

http://www.mtu.com/upgrades/hoster.htm#V407

and check to see if you will benifit from these changes. My testing shows that 4.08 is rock soild so don't be afraid to upgrade.

Jim

Normal error code when you've manually removed a kma. Manually removing a kma will not remove it from the database so it will still show up in a search. The error occurs when the edit screen can't find a kma to remove.
The only way to fix it, as Jim pointed out is to rebuild.
Or restore the file from the recycle bin (or wherever you may have put it.) and then use edit screen to remove properly.

In other words Steve always use the Edit Songs to delete or modify any files in Hoster and you will not have any problems.
