No Lyrics Displayed???

I’m running Hoster 4.06 on XP

I have attempted to import songs from three different labels and I get the music (audio) but no lyrics (video). I have 300 old songs in my library that run fine. The new CD+G labels are Sweet Georgia Brown, Quik Hitz and Music Maestro. I have imported CDs from MM and QH before with no problem. Have I inadvertently changed some setting?

This usually indicates either a bad/corrupt driver for the CD/DVD drive, a drive that does not support CDG, or a drive that is going bad.
Have you imported any CDs from this drive before? Using 4.06?
Have you recently done a driver update on this drive from Microsoft?
Is this a laptop or desktop type of computer?

Thanks Dale, yes I have imported CDs from this drive using 4.6.
I have not upgraded the driver for this drive.
This is a desktop computer.

The rest of the story: I use DAEMON tools virtual DVD drive but have not had any problems in the past. I created an image using a DVD drive in another computer and "mounted" that image ... same results… audio, no video.

So you don't have a physical DVD drive in this computer? Or do you mean you tried this as an alternative. I have never used anything like that and wouldn't know if it would work or not.
If you do have physical drive on this computer and were trying that first, then have you checked the MFG for any driver and firmware updates? What brand/model drive do you have?

Dale, I swapped out the CD drive for one I had on the shelf and… everything works! I’m importing music like crazy now.

Thanks for your help.

What make/model of drive was the one that didn't work?
You may be able to update the drivers and firmware and get it working again too.
