Reload Order for NEW PC

I am getting ready to reload everything on a new pc. I have been thinking about the order and whether or not it makes a difference. I have read some posts about some install programs deleting other MTU programs. Here is what I thought I would do. Your comments are welcome.

Clean Install Windows XP Pro
Install Motherboard and Video CDs
Update thru SP3
Add NetFrame 2.0
Add Lame
Install Microstudio 4.01 then upgrade to 4.06 (have to load old first, right?
Install Songverter 1.002 then upgrade to 1.10 (again old first, right?
Install Keyright 2010 then upgrade to 2010 (again old first, right?
Install Hoster Video 2219 then upgrade to 321a (old first, right?

As you can see, my primary question is must I load my original programs first, then the upgrades I have purchased, or since I have purchased the upgrades can I just load the most current of each.

I would so much like to do this just once and have it all work, so if anyone has some guidance to offer I would sure appreciate it. It would sure be nice if I didn't have to load all the original versions then watch the upgrades remove them.

Thank Much

Clean Install Windows XP Pro
Install Motherboard and Video CDs What kind of "Video CDs"
Update thru SP3 Yes, WindowsCustom including SP3 + update video driver & computer manufacture's updates. And don't forget IE & WMP (if you're starting all over from scratch).
Add NetFrame 2.0 Hostser requires .NET 3.0
It's would be better if you didn't have to go back before 3.321.
If you un-installed Hoster on-line (which version?), then you should be able to re-install the same version you had. Registration codes should match. (You said above that it's a "new PC" but also say "reinstall". Or, do you mean that you are moving Hoster from one machine to another?)

As you can see, my primary question is must I load my original programs first, then the upgrades I have purchased, or since I have purchased the upgrades can I just load the most current of each.
Hoster requires "uninstalling on-line". Then when "reinstalling" on whatever machine, MTU will know how many you copies of Hoster you have and what machine they are on. This is true for MS too.
If all programs were un-installed while connected to MTU & you have registration codes, you should be able to re-install your most recent purchases.
I would so much like to do this just once and have it all work, so if anyone has some guidance to offer I would sure appreciate it. It would sure be nice if I didn't have to load all the original versions then watch the upgrades remove them.

The BEST information with step-by-step instructions, in detail, is in the "Manual". That will explain a lot more than we have room to say on the Forum.

Reloading All Programs

Thanks Skybird, I appreciate the response. I do like to check the manuals but Hoster 321a is no longer available as a demo and my work machine is at another location, so I do not have one available for review.

To clarify my situation, I was NOT able to removed any MTU programs from the old machine. It suddenly acquired "early chipset initialization" and will not boot at all. Myself and several finer geeks tested and worked on it for 2 weeks and decided to burn/bury it with fewest possible kind words.

Add NetFrame 2.0 Hostser requires .NET 3.0 Thought 321a was 2.0, will check futher
Add Lame

(You said above that it's a "new PC" but also say "reinstall". Or, do you mean that you are moving Hoster from one machine to another?) You have provided hope. As said old pc dead and buried without removal. But MTU knows what reg codes I have paid for and have emailed approval for me to reload so I may try the current versions first to see what happens.

Your suggestions have helped. Thanks so much.

Clean Install Windows XP Pro
Install Motherboard and Video CDs
Update thru SP3 Added note: This will take several times using the Custom Updates as not all will load at the same time. Some need reboot after install.
Add NetFrame 2.0 This good enough, but 3 will do better. This should be listed when you do Custom. Don't try to install both at same time as it will hang up.
Add Lame Be sure to use the one from MTU or it won't work right.
Install Microstudio 4.01 then upgrade to 4.06 (have to load old first, right? Not necessary for this one yet. Just install 4.06
Install Songverter 1.002 then upgrade to 1.10 (again old first, right? Same as above.
Install Keyright 2010 then upgrade to 2010 (again old first, right? Same as above.
Install Hoster Video 2219 then upgrade to 321a (old first, right? If you are only using 3.321a then you only need to install it.

As you can see, my primary question is must I load my original programs first, then the upgrades I have purchased, or since I have purchased the upgrades can I just load the most current of each. Only Hoster 4.0x requires installing the previous version if you purchased the "Upgrade." This is a recently added requirement. The question here is why are you not using 4.06. You are missing a lot.
Hope that clarifies it better.

Reloading pc

THANK YOU DALE!! You have clarified much and it certainly helps reduce my work load. Can't start until next weekend though as the darn processor I ordered has been delayed. I may upgrade to 4.06 later but right now I just want to get up and running with what will be familiar and get back in the groove.

Thanks again for the detailed information.
