Whats the deal with the SAV's?
I have Hoster Lite 4.06. I know that the SAV-A's and P's are strange animals. In fact every time i played one on my JVC triple drawer the start and end credit page would actually turn colors. Now with 4.06, the title and end credit page are garbled, but the lyrics are ok for the most part. Any fix, or just something everyone lives with?

It's a minor glitch since the words & music still work fine. It is a known problem that is supposed to be taken care of.

there are a few brands that are like that, the beginning and at the end of these brands are garbled, they worked fine with 4.05, but not with 4.6

Thanks so so much fella's,i kinda figured as much. It's not really a problem. The lyrics are ok, it's just missing some of the white in the lettering on the title page, and the end credit page is hard to read. No big deal, i don't have a lot of call for these anyway. But believe it or not, there are still a few "Harper Valley PTA" singers still around who like these old disc..go figure.... thanks much

But believe it or not, there are still a few "Harper Valley PTA" singers still around who like these old disc..go figure.... Ooh! You're stompin' on my heart now! Karaoke does not live by Meatloaf alone! I figure that half my crowd hasn't or doesn't want to know what "Sublime" music they are missing! As most of us know, there are a lot of clientele that sing Karaoke to play to the audience, and not because they can do Elvis impersonations but because AC/DC just wouldn't please the hearing aides at the bar stools! Yeah there is always a time and a place to see if the I-95 song will get the ovation, while B-Flat The Cat goes over well at most 5 Yr Olds B-Day parties, and I get paid the same!!! Old disks? or Old Music? If you are a newbie that hasn't built a cdg collection over the past two decades, or had to carry around the discs that matched the songlists ( before scdgs ), and can remember fast forwarding or rewinding the cassettes to the correct selection, because you couldn't afford the laser discs... well yeah, they are old discs and most were not handled with care, and ain't it nice that Hoster is forgiving when it comes to duplicating the music and not the scratches? Old music? Some of my Mexican clientele are singing songs written 75 to 100 years ago, because it's part of their heritage, being of a proud race ( La Raza ), and most don't need the lyrics because they memorized them from hearing their grandparents & parents sing the same songs as they were growing up! So don't paint yourself into a corner, be very diversified, and enjoy making money in a pleasurable business, that puts a smile on the faces of the masses, that we are allowed to perform for, and be entertained by!!! That's how I figure it... ![]() Rick Rikki Tikki Karaoke |

My dear, my comment was meant in a light hearted way. i am far from being a newbie at karaoke. I have over 10,000 songs in my library. I was doing karaoke in corner bars, when all we had were cassettes and printed lyrics. Ihave been a musician playing all types of music for going on 40 years. My first job as a musician was at a "Critter Club" when i was 15 years old. I dare say 75% of my patrons are "Older" singers, who sing songs that are at least 15 years old. My comment went to the need of that type of disc, not that type of music. Hope this clears it up. I could afford the laser disc, they just wern't on the market yet. And my song library will fit into almost any venue. "So don't paint yourself into a corner, be very diversified". I help build "the corners".

![]() 4.06 was completed on Monday & released to everyone. Bottom line - it will be fixed in 4.1, but that won't be out until 2009. Since only the Title page is garbled, we just need to reassure our singers that the rest of the disk will play correctly for them to sing with. ![]()
