Error 1706 upon install of 4.06
I installed 4.06 and this popped up:
"Error 1706. No valid source can be found for product Hoster" Funny thing is that I open Hoster and it is upgraded to 4.06 according to the "about hoster" tab. Anybody know what this means and what the consequences are? If any consequences, how do I fix it? |

The error 1706 is a microsoft thing. It also happens with Microsofr's own products and they still can't tell you why. You can either ignore it, or uninstall before upgrading. It will do no harm either way.

I've got the same error message and didn't think I would have any problems after being told it was a Microsoft thing.
I am having serious problems after downloading 4.06 (running XP sp 3 with 2Gb memory) windows shut down my playlist 8 times in an hour ![]() Any Suggestion what maybe causing this. I had no problems running 4.03 I also have vista on my back up and have not experienced any problems with it since loading 4.06 Hawkman |
