Question Monitor/House TV

I'm using VGA out from laptop to VGA monitor for singer. Can I still connect to house TV? I tried s-video out but it won't work when VGA is being used.
How can I connect both?

If it were me I would get rid of the VGA monitor and use a monitor which will accept either RGB of Video in.
But if you want to keep the monitor you need a svga splitter. I have listed the link to one below, its less that $5.00
http://www.national-tech.com/specs/v...10h1-27708.htm
you will also need a scan converter $80 to $100. see below
http://www.amazon.com/TView-Micro-PC.../dp/B00006B6QS

You may also need an RF converter, you can get one at radioshack $30 to $60
You hook the splitter to your pc, send one leg to the vga monitor, hook the scan converter to the other leg. send the video out to either the video in of a tv or send it to the scan converter and attach the tv out of the scan converter to the cable in on the tv.

You should be able to select the output from the video properties. (right click empty space on desktop and select properties) Some laptops don't support extended monitor through Svideo. You just have to check and see.

you can get a pc to tv converter from www.eitech.com this one has a vga out , and another vga, s-video and rca out. you can plugged in your vga from your laptop/pc to the vga out of the converter and s-video to the the 1'st monitor and the rca to a tv..i would recommend to use an lcd type monitors since most of them has vga/s-video and rca out..

Make sure your S-Video is connected to the tv & the tv is on before you boot your computer. The computer should then see the s-video connection & connect it while still using the vga.
Then you need to go into display properties & set the tv for extended desktop - this is all provided the video card has dual capability, which most of todays laptops do.
