4.04 HDMP3G play sluggish, CDG's are fine.

Hello. Here is the background: I did have 3.321 and went directly to 4.03. My issue with 4.03 was that my HDZIP'S didn't get converted to HDMP3G. THE FIX: wait for 4.04.

I upgraded to 4.04. I saw the dialog asking to convert my HD's to HDMP3G. I said yes and that process appeared to work properly.

My playlist had both CDCDG's and HDMP3G in it. I started the auto play and I allowed Hoster to play through the playlist. A CDCDG played, no problem, another CDCDG, no problem. A HDMP3G played, about a minute or so, the song and lyrics started to slow and sluggish and this continue throughout the song. I let auto advance to the next song which was a HDMP3G and the same thing occurred. The HDMP3G songs were different brands.

So, I deleted all songs in the playlist and randomly selected CDCDG's and HDMP3G songs and placed them into the playlist. I let auto play the songs and I saw the same thing as before.

And I turned off marguee, still the HDMP3G would slow as explained above.
And I went to "tools", then "options" and on "process priority", selected "real-time". I let auto play the songs again and the HDMP3G were slow and sluggish.

Task Manager saids that CPU usage is 7% and processes are 65%. I think this is all I have for info. Please advise. Thanks, Kelly

Hey Kelly,
I'm sorry 4.04 is giving you fits.

If you unistall 4.04 then install 4.03 all should be good for you.

From what you say here, 4.04 has converted all of your HDZIP files into HDMP3G files. Since the conversion has been done, your HDMP3G files should play in 4.03 with no problems.

I hope this helps.

Jim

You may have to rebuild your database once 4.03 is installed, but all may work fine right out of the chute.
