Hoster 4.03 not working properly

I have just purchased and installed Hoster 4.03 and it's running very slow, it takes a long time to cue and there are major delays on all functions. I have windows xp.

Kate, what version were you using prior to this?
How much memory is on your computer? (Right click on My Computer and open Properties)
What else are you running at the same time?
First thing I would suggest is defrag your hard drive.
How much delay are you talking about? Hoster 4.03 requires more computer resources than the previous versions, because of all the new additions made.

Kate,
If Dale's suggestions don't get you going here, try installing the latest driver for your video card.

I Hope This Helps

Jim

Hi Guys,

Thanks for posting your responses, I opened up Hoster34 (as read about in another thread) to get through last night and today removed my songs to put them onto an external hard drive to free up more space but now Hoster 4.03 won't open despite being reinstalled and I am getting error message "Unknown (1004)" I now have 32GB free disk space and defrag was up to date. The prior version of Hoster was 3.310. Delays on Hoster 4.03 yesterday could be a much as several minutes.

Hey Kate,
Here are some basic questions:

1. XP or Vista

1. do you have all of the custom windows updates

2 if XP do you have SP3

3. do you have IE7

4. do you have the latest drivers for your video card

How big is your hard drive?
How much memory do you have? This can be a big factor in the speed programs run at.

I deleted the MTU and Hoster folders, updated Media Player and internet explorer then reinstalled Hoster again and this seems to have corrected the problem. Thanks for taking the time to offer your advice and help me out!
