Question Timeline for importing hard drive zip files

Does anyone know how long it should take to import 20,000 hard drive zip files (converted from my scdg collection to zip files) into hoster 4.02 as kma files?
Thanks in advance for the info.

Before you try this keep in mind that Hoster can only import 99 tracks from the same DiscID. Which means if you have the same Brand & DiscID it the title for all the songs only the first 99 will import. If the track numbers go beyond 99 it will import the new ones (101,102) over the first ones. This is due to the limitations of the BookID's track numbers being only 2 digits.
MTU's solution to this is to make the import roll-over automatically to the next BookID allowing the same DiscID to be used. However with all the other problems that have been going on this has been pushed back to be completed later.

How did you name the zip files? I have all mine named with Manufacturer's Code-Disk ID-Track#-Artist(last name first)-Song title.zip.

If you were careful about naming, you can batch convert all the files. It only takes about 5 secs per song. That would take you about 24 hrs. The ones that have errors will still be listed if you have the DO NOT DISPLAY box checked in the import screen. I would not, however recommend this. I did this once after a complete system failure when I was in a hurry and regretted it. There is nothing more embarrassing to me than to have a problem song file. I like to take it slow. Decide what I REALLY need and do them a little at a time. That way you can check for erroneous files/dupes/naming problems etc...

If they are talking about importing these using 4.02, then it will take a bit longer as they will be unzipped and then imported in the original format (MP3+G, WAV+G or WMA+G).
Also since these are from SCDG then most will have 1000+ tracks. If all 1000+ have the same Disc ID then after 99 songs it will begin overwriting the first 99 or will stop with an error. I know I have been there and tried it.

OOPS! I didn't notice he said SCDG. In my mind it was CDGs. I was thinking he was probably doing what I do. Rip all my CDGs to zip for normalize and archival purposes. Also in a pinch I have used WMP and a plug-in to run a show from the zips when I couldn't get a reg reset. What a fun time that was

Looks as though I will have to wait on mtu to fiix the disc id issue for scdgs before I can use these in hoster. I did try to import one of the files, on the hd, that has 700 songs in it. Instead of opening that file, hoster opened all the files to all the disks that I have converted on to that hard drive. weird .......
