Hoster Demo 3.321 import problems
I downloaded Hoster demo 3.321 so I can evaluate whether I want to buy it. I am having problems importing cdg karaoke songs from my karaoke cdg's. I have tried several brand names eg. chartbuster, pocket songs, nutech, music maestro, sound choice, top hits monthly and sweet georgia brown , all with the same problem.
When I click, cdg, then import, pick my brand, pick the disk on the pull down, click 'add tracks -local data base', all the songs show up in the window, then I pick a song track, click 'next', then click 'import' , the hoster changes from 'ready' to 'record' , the window opens for 'importing track' but nothing happens, there appears to be no activity going on, no progress bar. I have waited many minutes with no action shown or progress. Tried 'KMA' and 'CDG' , same results. I don't see any flickering activity light on my cd/dvd drive after starting the import, but the detection screens recognized the drive and the 'yes' was in the field indicating it was an ok drive. Help, gene

sometimes it will say yes, and that drive wont work for CDGs, (won't do karaoke)
what brand and model drive is it, Bob

Is this a laptop? How old is it?
Vista or XP? Is the drive working for other types like audio CDs or DVDs? I looked for a firmware update for that drive but could not find any. In the default drive screen there is a Retest drive button. Try testing the drive again with a CDG in it and see if it still says YES.

Hoster demo 3.321 demo import tracks issue on my compac presario v2000 1.79 ghtz
yes it is a laptop, compac presario v2000, I got it in Nov. 05. Everything works well, it is 1.79 ghz and I have 384 ram and Hoster and Sax and Dotties has worked well with external drives hook in from a friend to test it.
I don't see any drive activity light on the CD/DVD drive when the hoster software says it is recording, the status window does not show any progress. Music files play fine from the cd or my hard drive even in hoster. Any ideas ? Gene
