laptop freezes w/new cd-rom install
My first post....I've been reading the forumns and using MTU products for 5 - 6 years and have always found a problem fixer here.........Now
I'm stuck....I have a Toshiba...A105 series...Intel M.... Windows XP Home...... When I install the new internal slim-line cd-rom from MTU (of course). The computer makes it through start up. Says "New Hardware Found" in the start up task bar bottom right and then freezes.. I am unable to do anything on the computer...Have to pull the battery to even shut down. Not sure what make the new cd-rom is..If I reinstall the other cd-rom that came in the laptop everything works again. Haven't seen a thread addressing this.. what have I missed? |

OK... Maybe jumped the gun a little, disabled everything in start-up and installation went fine.......now searching for the program that caused the conflict or problem. Sorry to cry wolf

I am glad that you got it working. I had one other customer that stated their drive did not work in the Toshiba Laptop. It seems Toshiba does something different with the drives, and sometimes they will not work.
