The driver use in MTU software will not recognized you driver even know it might be CDG compatible. Your best option would be a Plextor, in fact, with any latest version from Micro or Hoster I believe you have no other choice but to use Plextor.

Mlepine is correct. There is no way to make this drive work with our software.

Alcohol 120% uses a format called Raw Dao 96 to do an exact copy, thus bypassing the C+G format. This is why you can use their program to do a duplicate of the disc.

The only drives that will work for CD+G are the Plextor brand of drives. The only Plextor drive that will not work for Karaoke is the Plextor PX-W 504. This drive was made by Ricoh and marketed by Plextor.

Bryan,

Would it be the same for the MMC Deinterleave Mode? Anyway MTU could use this Mode in the future to have more drive compatible?

Regards

Mlepine,
I have not heard of that MMC mode. MTU must have the CD+G format for our software programs. This is because we are able to play from the disc and pull one track off of the disk at a time. If you use any other format, there is no way to do this.

This is the reason that the drives must support the CD+G format to work with our programs.

Play from the disc can also be done using the MMC Deinterleave mode, extracting by track can also be done.

I will send you a PM.

Thanks
