Vista 64 bit and Plextor PX-712UF
I have recently upgraded from Vista 32 bit to Vista 64 bit SP1.
I have been using a Plextor PX-712UF with MTU on Vista 32 bit but am now having some issues. I am using the latest software version of Microsostudio. 1.) I am unable to copy CD-G track from the Plextor to Hard drive. The drive is funtional from Windows Media Player in that I am able to play the audio track portion just fine. The problem is when Micrstudio software is involved. 2.) Existing BIN files I had made prior to the Vista 64 bit upgrade show the graphics but no sound I keep hearing that there are drivers for the Plextor on your site but don't know the link. Can you folks help me out? Last edited by Kuurus; June 7th, 2008 at 02:26 PM. |

I got the sound issue solved with existing BIN files. Now my only issue is that the Plextor drive doesnt seem to be serving up the CD+G format correctly. The Plextor site says no drivers are needed for Vista. Does that sound right?

An anomaly I noticed is that with 4.006 of Microstudio when you go to look at default drives (Under the tools menu) the drive letter for both my internal DVD drive and my USB attached Plextor both have "@:" instead of a drive letter like "D:" as one would expect.

First off it is not drivers but firmware you need to update.
Second try deleting both drives in the device manager then reboot with the external drive plugged in so the computer can reinstall both.

Thanks for the help so far. I update the Plextor Firmware to latest version 1.09 right off the bat. I have removed both drives from device manager and rebooted. Still no dice. Microstudio shows them both as drive letter "@"
I guess I will have to wait for support to help on this one. |
