Yamaha CRW2260

I have a Yamaha CRW2260 that worked fine before. I have replaced my hard drive, rebuilt my entire system, and downloaded the ASPI drivers at

http://www.mtu.com/vbulletin/showthr...p?threadid=493

The CD read function works fine but when I try to write, I get the following error...

ERROR -
Cannot initialize the recorder for writing. Optimum laser power calibration failed. SCSI driver error code = 02037302h
CD-R disc not successfully recorded.

Any suggestions or help is appreciated - either here or directly thru email.

thanks,
jim

Jim,
This sounds like a hardware issue. I have never heard of any error about the laser, so I would contact Yamaha at www.yamaha.com
