KPro Studio 6.00 Issues
Got my KPro Studio 6.00.01 installed and am up and running.
Now for the problems... I opened an existing .kpr file created with KHpro 5.01 and got the error message, "Input music file is not stereo (hr = 0x80004001)". (These are monaural mp3 music files.) When I clicked on "No" to the prompt asking if I would like to choose another music file, the message comes up, "KPro Studio MFC application has stopped working" and the program shuts down. I had no trouble with these files in KHPro. The problem is the same (not stereo) if I create a new file using the same music files, except the program doesn't crash after the "not stereo" error message. My OS is Windows 7.

Re: KPro Studio 6.00 Issues
I can confirm that there is a problem using mono mp3.
I have reported it to support. It might be best to put in a support ticket yourself.

Re: KPro Studio 6.00 Issues
Since my KPro Studio v6 is useless to me, due to the mono mp3 compatibility issue, I\'m wondering if KHPro v6 has the same problem. I don\'t want to upgrade the only karaoke software I can use if the upgrade renders it useless to me as well.

Re: KPro Studio 6.00 Issues
Ive no idea if KHPro v6 will import a mono file as I don\'t have it to try.
Is there a reason why your files have to be in mono other than your existing files are in mono ? Now this is just a suggestion as a workaround but you could import your mono audio file into Audacity which is a free program. Once in that from the edit dialog choose copy then duplicate. You then select the title bar of top track where there is a dropdown arrow then from the list select (make Stereo Track) Then from the file menu select Export Audio and save it. I tried the above with a mono file and it imported as normal.

Re: KPro Studio 6.00 Issues
Thanks, Roy. I\\\'d been contemplating doing something along those lines with my editing software.
The reason I use mono files is to deal with the less-than-ideal setups in most karaoke venues. The percentage of venues is very small which have suitable layouts for listening to stereo as it was intended. The customary setup has either the two speakers pointing away from each other at 90° to cover the spread of the floorplan from the location of the karaoke equipment, or the speakers are stationed at opposite ends of a long, narrow room (bar), pointing toward each other. It ends up with one part of the room hearing the right channel and the other part of the room hearing the left channel if the track is stereo. On top of that, you have KJs who forget to reset the speakers to stereo after playing somebody\\\'s CD with the guide vocal on one channel. (And while we\\\'re at it, why does this forum insert backslashes in front of apostrophes?)
