Key change not changing till after song starts.

Using the keyrite part of Microstudio, I was changing a bunch of songs (the audio part of the karaoke files) the other day, and for some reason one song would not change key, it was a chartbuster version of :I can't help it if I'm still in love with you" by Hank Williams.

The workaround: I would begin the song in key "0", then hit the "-4" button after the first two notes, then I could get it to drop from E to C the rest of the way.

Can anyone reproduce this?

The song starts out with two twangy notes, then a 4 bar intro.

Maybe "Support" can help us out with how and why this might occur?
Something in the algorithms that could cause this?
I'm not even sure ?HOW? a key change is done digitally?

Sounds like you should be using the Keyrite program anyway, if you're creating new files .

Keyrite in Microstudio is meant to be used as a live key change.

I'm at a loss as to what file format you are using in Microstudio to key change.

A BIN file has uncompressed "wav" audio + cdg lyrics/graphics data. There is no MP3 associated with a BIN file.

Please post exactly what file format you are key changing in Microstudio. Have you tried the same file in Hoster? Please do so if not. We need to verify the file isn't damaged, but is a standard "whatever" format file.

I'm sorry, it was the .bin file I was working with.(I was recording only the wave portion of the file on microstudio).
I would put the bin file in the play section then hit the keychange button, in this case, it was "-4". However, the song came out in the same key. It would properly drop 4 steps if I waited till after the second note (part of song intro) started playing, then hit the "-4" key.

Eleven other songs worked fine from beginning to end, when I attempted to key change them. But something peculiar about this song just wouldn't allow it to change keys UNLESS I hit the "-4" key AFTER the song started.

I see, george, however, ithe process was identical to 11 other songs that worked fine from beginning to end, it was just that song that didn't pick up the key change.
