Sometimes the "booster" boosts the lines and waves as well.
Check the connections, are they old? Get the best quality conductors as well. I had my place re-solder all their video and s-video connections and lines went away. Got high quality 50 ft. cable too. No more problems. However, when I got a booster, lines and waves are what got boosted(amplified). If you have other video equipment attached, projectors, etc. they kind of leak in interference as well. |

Along with Bryant's answer make sure your video cables are not wrapped up or running along side any power cables. The 60Hz wave of the power line can transfer to your signal line.

Sometimes those y connectors get a little funky too, make sure their tight, try to get the best quality (although I think all of them are simple cheepo's gennerally constructed for audio). I got a new one once and it cleared up. May wanna try that too.
PS I do a lot of Y'ing from different laptops projectors and monitors. |
