Unhappy Changing the location of KMA files

I have just finished downloading all 900 CDG's that I have through Hoster. I found that at some points in my downloading I didn't have my external hard drive connected to my computer because I was using it at my shows. Because of that, the songs downloaded to my D: drive. I eventually took them all and moved them to my External Hard Drive but now Hoster can't find them. Apparently, it is looking in my D: drive and they aren't there. Is there a way I can change the drive on them. It is probably about 100 discs that are like that.

Just rebuild your "songs.mdb" file (Tools -> Build Songs Database...).

When the "Build Songs Database" window appears, select the external hard drive letter, and folder if any, where your kma's are located and rebuild the database. If your "D" drive is displayed in the selection window, delete that drive and path from the selection window before you rebuild.

The "Book ID"

I think that is where it says it will change the "Book ID Number". The problem there is that I use my own numbers for the book ID number. I have my own books that are already numbered by the numbers I have assigned the discs. If I do that, will it change those numbers?

No.

The bookid's will change only when two things happen.
1 - When you use the MERGE function to add KMA's to your system.
AND coupled with:
2 - If the KMA's you are merging have a bookid already in use by KMA's already in your system.

Generally speaking if you are using a custom numbering system like you are using and you are anal about keeping your bookid's and discid's accurate, you won't have a problem.

Ramblin, you are on "thin ice" using a custom BookID numbering scheme. Please read the warnings in the manual. Hoster does NOT protect a custom numbering scheme, and as you are aware, MERGE, should you ever need it, will ignore your scheme and autonumber any duplicates.

I strongly suggest you consider giving up your scheme before you get much farther. One night, when you are tired, you will do something and your scheme will be damage. Just my advice, you can take it or leave it.
