Major 2.219 problem

I have been using the upgrade 2.219 since October 22nd and it worked fine. However last night when I went to start Hoster and enter a song in the playlist, a box popped up telling me there was a problem with the Hoster Program and it needs to shut down, which it did.

I opened Hoster again and same thing happened.

I restarted the computer, same thing happened. I was starting to sweat as I had 100 people in audience waiting for show to start.

I then did a System Restore to a few days earlier. Same thing happened.

I then did a System Restore a week earlier. Same thing happened.

Finally, I did a System Restore to a point before I installed 2.219, which put me back to the previous version of Hoster, and that fixed the problem.

What do I do now? Scared to put 2.219 back and have that happen again. I have been using Hoster for over a year and this it the first time I had any problem.

Please advise.

Re: Major 2.219 problem

I will not re-install until I here something from MTU regarding this issue. Something like what happened to me on the job, makes it hard to change from the version that is working, back to one which gave me problems.

Perhaps they might make some update to the file, and then I will download it again and re-install.

Re: Major 2.219 problem

That can happen if you have the target directory set wrong. Did you change or update your target directory?

Re: Major 2.219 problem

I did nothing since the last time I used the software successfully, except I imported one CDG as I usually do, and I changed no settings.

After I restored to the earlier version, everything worked fine, even the songs that I last imported.

I am waiting for advice from MTU before I proceed.

Thanks.
