Question New PC, What programs can I uninstall Online?

Hi All,
I need a little help in remembering which of my programs I can uninstall online vs do a support ticket in order to move to new computer. I am using:

Hoster 5.30
MicroStudio 4.24
Songverter 1.31
Keyrite 2.0.1.2

Thanks much.

All your products show as user move on the upgrades page except Keyrite 2.0.1.2

You can view the info yourself via this link:
http://www.mtu.com/index.htm

then choose support and select your product from the upgrades column, each upgrade has a user move column.

Thanks Roy. That's what I thought but could not find it on mtu or in my notes. I'll do a ticket for Keyrite and move the others on my own.

Hi Roy,
Thought I would update you. For some reason, they all moved online so no ticket for me. Yea!

Now could you save me from reading the manual and tell me to get my music on the new computer? All of my music is on an external drive and I want to keep the book ids the same so I won't need new books. Will appreciate your advice. Thanks.

Re: New PC, What programs can I uninstall Online?

The easiest way would have been to use Hosters Backup/Restore feature before you uninstalled This would have copied all the settings from your old computer to the new one.
Never mind, try this I think it will still work but I have not tried it myself after uninstalling.

Open windows Explorer on your old computer and brows to: C:\Program Files (x86)\Micro Technology Unlimited\Hoster, look for the file "HosterBackup.exe" Click on it to start it. This should bring up a backup and restore dialog. Select the backup option and save the backup to a usb stick or drive, the same drive you have your music on will do. Assuming that completes alright, shut that computer down, plug the usb drive in to your new computer and start Hoster, click the Help menu and select the "Backup/Restore option you will get a message Hoster must close which is correct, this time choose the restore option and brows to the backup file you saved, select. If all goes well you should now have a clone of your old system.
For all the files to operate correct the usb drive needs to show as the same drive letter as it did on your old computer if it doesn't you need to change the volume letter.
You can read how to do this here: http://www.mtu.com/kb/kb/index.php?a...&id=4&relid=10
If your using Windows 10 you can skip the first 4 instuctions by right ckicking on the Windows icon first on left of task bar, select "Disc Management" then follow from 5 onwards.
Option 2
If the above fails to work then the other option is to use the build database option. This will only add the music files it will not add all your singers history or settings.
From the build database dialog select "add Folders or preferably Add Folders/Subfolders" button then brows to the folders containing your music and select. If you use the Add Folders/Subfolders option selecting the highest folder in the tree should add all folders below it. This will rebuild the songs database as each folder is added. All bookid will be as before.

Thank you so much Roy! This is the base/work machine so I had no data to save other than my book ids, thus I went straight to Option 2 and it worked perfectly. That is the way I have done it in the past but for some reason I thought that things had changed and I would lose my book ids. Not sure where I got that idea.

You are so knowledgeable and always so helpful, not to mention patient with me and others who submit questions. A wonderful asset to the community. Thanks again!
