Re: sound drop

Again make sure you set the power management to maximum performance as stated in your other post. Plus all the other recommended settings.
The other setting related to this are in Hoster's Tools/Audio Controls, the bottom box where it reads "Prevent Audio Dropouts" should be defaulted to 10, a lower number increases the chance of audio drops, setting higher should reduce them but will slow reaction times of key & tempo changes. Play around with these settings see if it stops the audio drops.

Re: sound drop

I have a new Hp Pavilion dv6 with Intel Core I7-3610QM CPU 2.30Ghz 16gig Ram 1 TB Hard Drive Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit. I am running Hoster 508.11. I am having sound problems. It will work fine for about an hour and then the sound starts going up and down, the volumn of the music. I tried changing the Audio control from 10 to 12 and 14 it works for a little while and then starts again. I have done all the changes that are required I even read on the fourm (about Codec Packs in case you experience unexplained video/audio problems you may think apply to codecs) I uninstalled it. It did work a lot better but it is still doing it. I have the power settings on High. I know it is the computer the sound is not effected on the mics and I have my other laptop that I have changed to when it has happened with no problems. Any Ideas?

I don't know why you are experiencing this problem but just check out these settings:
1) Right click on the speaker icon on the taskbar and select playback devices.
2) Assuming you are using the computers sound card select "Speakers" and check it is the default device then select properties for that item.
3) If you see a Dolby tab open that and un-tick any boxes for audio enhancer and surround then click apply.
4) Click Advanced tab, un-tick any boxes for allow applications to take exclusive control & Give exclusive application priority Press apply and OK
If you use an external sound card try running without it to see if the problem stems from that.
Hoster will probably default to an external card if it's connected for the playlist Audio card in which case the above may have no effect. But there may be settings for enhancements Tab when selecting that much like above that can be disabled to see if it helps.

Re: sound drop

I tried it after I made those changes it still did it, I went back and checked and looked under Sound Recording Stereo Mix Properties Advanced and unchecked Allow Applications to take exclusive control of this device. I also changed the Speaker Properties Advanced to 24 Bit 96000Hz Studio Quality. Then tried it. It was better, but still some sound issues. I changed Audio Control to 12, it works GREAT!! Don't know for sure what did it, but it works.........

Susan, did you keep the allow applications box unchecked and at 24 bit 96000Hz studio quality? What made you think of experimenting with those settings? Had you read something in a forum regarding sound issues. My issue now is the audio silencing out during a karaoke song, then Hoster has to close and restart to get the sound back? If you are reading this, feel free to message me, or let me know on her.
Thank you.
