Video Files with the Following Configuration
I'm having trouble playing .vob files that were ripped from DVDs in Hoster, could it be that the Graphics card isn't fast enough?
The Configuration of the system is as follows: Windows 7 64bit K-Lite Codec 64 Bit Pack Pentium Dual Core E5400 2.7GHz 2 Gig of Ram ATI HD 4800 Graphics Card I can load the file and play it in hoster if the display windows is on the desktop but not on the secondary display which is TV, I just get a black screen and the audio. Any help or confirmation that the graphics card won't work would be appreciated.

Re: Video Files with the Following Configuration
I don't think the problem is anything to do with your graphics card.
1:Can you play other videos on the extended monitor OK ? 2: Did these play in other Hoster versions on the extended monitor? 3: Did you just copy the .Vob file from the DVD to your hard drive ? 4: Do they take a time to initiate before play or loading ? Most vob files from DVD contain other data other than video & audio, to do with the startup menu and navigation within the DVD itself which can cause problems, some vob files contain more than a single song track. The best way to get tracks from DVD is to use a DVD ripping software which seperates all the info from the tracks and create various formats of your choice like AVI, Mpeg or a # of others, I now prefer MP4 myself. So I think if you answered yes to my #3 question then this is the main problem.

Re: Video Files with the Following Configuration
1) In Windows Media Play, yes
2) Didn't try, this is a new installation 3) No, I ripped the tracks and these are NOT just the vobs from DVDs but broken down tracks from Promo Only Videos (I'm a VJ - I do this) 4) There's a slight delay, but only audio on the secondary/extended monitor.

After you have ripped these, do they still show a .vob extension or some other extension ? Need to know the actual format (extension) to check how to set your k-lite settings as it could be related to this.

Re: Video Files with the Following Configuration
Well I got mine playing after a lot of messing around with the settings in K-light codec pack ,I eventually chose reset to recommended settings and it worked.
To try this yourself, go to Start/All programs/K-lite codec pack/configuration/Reset to recommended settings.
