Windows 7 Hoster & DVD Drives

I built it because of the ausome deal I got on the parts.
Now after reading and a few quick searches I see I have a few problems.
I will rebuild an old computer with XP with Plextor 716's to overcome the Microstudio problems. Now the New computer I built uses an Intel 920 I7 chip and lots of bells and whistles. However it does not have or support any IDE controllers nor do Add on IDE controller Cards work properly for adding IDE Burners. The firmware in Plextor 716 and older drives does not support Vista or Windows 7. Could some one recomend a couple of SATA DVD Drives that will work in this situation in Hoster with Windows 7/64. I have tried the several of the new 24x drives with many problems. Now I have confused my testing with Micro studio and Hoster. To save me re-installing and testing have anyone tried any of the new 24x Drives with Hoster. It was not speed that I was after just newer models that are supported in Windows 7 / 64.
And if so what burn and read speeds are you having the best luck with.
Thanks Glenn

Try any of the Optiarc Sata drives. They all seem to work. I wouldn't use the slower speed ones as I am sure Windows 7 would have problems with compatability. If you want to absolutely sure order one from MTU as they test every one of them.
As far as Microstudio goes MTU is working on the 64 bit problem that is keeping it from Burning CDs.
