rebuilding song database

just got done rebuilding my songdata base again ( 3x ) ( i added some new songs ) it says " new release tracks " 37503, and on the progress window its only processing 35580, and when its done rebuilding and everytime i searched for a song i get an error " no song matched or not found in the hhd" the files are in there , this is a new 500 gb hhd..all i did was copied it ,the songs used to show on the old hhd when i do the searched

Either you didn't copy them all when you think you did (check the file count and see if it matches between the two drives) or you have more than one folder with the files and forgot to them all to the Rebuild or the drive letter isn't correct.

just checked the new hhd, and the files are there and on the edit screen they are there ...i tried both the add and rebuild in the songdata base still the same result..i might have to start over again

you're right the drive letter changed..some of the songs are coming up to E: and some are F:..just got done changing the f to e and now i am rebuilding the song database again..

got it fixed , had to changed the drive letter and rebuilt my songdata base
